After a busy week of regional MMA, we have a bit of a slower weekend for regional MMA. Here are quick notes on ten prospects to look out for this weekend:
- Adrian Lee (Welterweight, United States, ONE Championship): We kick off in ONE Championship with Adrian Lee, a member of the famous Lee MMA family. Though he’s coming off a loss to world-class jiu-jitsu player Tye Ruotolo, Lee is still a valuable prospect seeing as he’s just 19 years old. Previous to the Ruotolo loss, Lee showed off an impressive grappling acumen in his three pro wins, all by submission. He takes on Shozo Isojima in an attempt to get back into the win column.
- Ben Tynan (Heavyweight, Canada, ONE Championship): Speaking of ONE fighters coming off a loss, Ben Tynan fits that bill as well, coming off the first loss of his career. That said, he’s still an intriguing prospect in a weight class dying for talent. He has a strong wrestling background and has done a conscious job to improve his striking as well. The 6’3″, 240-pound Canadian will fave Ryugo Takeuchi this weekend.
- Gabriela Fujimoto (Women’s Strawweight, Brazil, ONE Championship): The last ONE fighter featured this weekend will be Gabi Fujimoto, a fighter I was shocked to see sign with ONE, as I was sure the UFC would snap her up next. Fujimoto is undefeated against a solid group of regional opposition, showing off a solid submission grappling game and good striking fundamentals. The 22-year-old Brazilian will square off with Jihin Radzuan, her biggest test to date.
- Nikola Joksovic (Welterweight, Serbia, Brave CF): One of my favorite prospects outside the UFC, Serbian Nikola Joksovic turned down the Contender Series to sign with Brave CF and immediately netted himself a main event. The 16-0 fighter has been dynamite in the cage, possessing good knockout power on the feet, strong wrestling and solid counter-grappling. He’s also a finishing machine, making him a major threat in the cage. He takes on 24-fight veteran Luciano Palhano in the main event of the Brave CF show.
- Miha Frlic (Heavyweight, Slovenia, Brave CF): During Contender Series recruiting time last year, the UFC was linked to fighter Shah Kamali assuming he won his fight against unknown Miha Frlic. However, Frlic scored a third-round knockout and nixed that. Frlic has quietly become a solid prospect running an undefeated record with all wins by knockout. That’s a testament to his aggression and power. He looks to continue that knockout streak against Samuele di Guardo.
- Jovan Leka (Heavyweight, Serbia, Brave CF): Speaking of the Contender Series, one of the few winners last year to not get a contract was Jovan Leka, which is a real shame. The 23-year-old monster is 6’5″ and moves very light for a man his size. He was an underdog against Azamat Nuftillaev, and it likely wasn’t Leka’s fault the fight was boring, as Nuftillaev tried to make it a grinding wrestling match. Leka showed off good striking and movement, which aided in keep Nuftillaev upright. A win here against undefeated Arturs Skabarnieks would certainly get him back onto the radar of the UFC.
- Danylo Voievodkin (Heavyweight, Ukraine, Brave CF): Sticking with the Contender Series theme here, Danylo Voievodkin had the UFC contract in hand after winning his bout in 2024, but that contract was nixed when his drug test came back hot. That time off has now led him to Brave CF, where he takes his first fight since that Contender Series opportunity. He has heavy hands on the feet and a strong grappling game from top. He looks to erase the memory of that Contender Series fiasco against Genadi Jorjoliani.
- Nina Nikolija Milosevic (Women’s Bantamweight, Sweden/Australia, Brave CF): There are few fighters that were more active in the year of 2025 than Nina Nikolija Milosevic. She fought five times in 2025 and won all of those bouts which took place between March and July. She has not fought since then, as it hasn’t been easy to find opponents for her. She’s highly experienced and well-rounded, including her good striking base. She takes on undefeated Dina Osman here in a bout that she should take fairly easily.
- Ramazan Gitinov (Lightweight, Russia, Brave CF): The final of the Brave CF mar athon of fighters is Ramazan Gitinov, one of the many Russian members of the KHK MMA Team in Bahrain. He’s a typical Russian submission wrestler, possessing a strong takedown game and a nasty submission attack. All of his wins are by finish, 2/3 of those by tapout. He takes on Artur Arutyunyan this weekend in an interesting matchup.
- Ronald Paradeiser (Welterweight, Slovakia, Oktagon): The lone Oktagon rep on this week’s list, Ronald Paradeiser is a 30-plus fight veteran who will be headlining that show. He’s highly underrated, as he’s well-rounded and a finisher on top of that. He’s fought a murderer’s row of European talent to a great deal of success, which is why he is held in regard in the Oktagon promotion. This weekend, he takes on Contender Series vet Kaik Brito, which should be another nice challenge.
LAST WEEK’S PROSPECT RESULTS
